Position Overview
Research Analyst, Southeast Asia
The firm is looking to hire a research analyst in its Singapore office to support the analytical needs of its Southeast Asia practice.
The role is centered around researching and analyzing Southeast Asia's asset management industry, including market sizing, competitive landscape, asset allocation trends, distribution strategies, and other key regulatory developments.
Responsibilities:
- Author research report content related to emerging industry trends
- Conduct ongoing qualitative research related to report themes
- Build and cultivate relationships with asset managers, distributors, and institutions to enhance the quality of research.
- Construct quantitative surveys and models, including survey design, data gathering, data modeling and analysis, and exhibit creation
- Source, analyze and interpret data gathered from third party and proprietary sources.
- Manage report projects and deadlines
- Manage partnerships with industry trade associations and publications
- Assist account managers with client inquiries related to the practice's research content
Requirements:
- 4 to 7 years of experience in financial services
- Knowledge of Southeast Asia's asset management industry
- Superior writing skills
- Aptitude for synthesizing research, identifying trends, and providing commentary on relevant industry issues
- Ability to work well autonomously, as well as in a team
- Strong attention to detail and emphasis on accuracy
- Ability to work on many initiatives concurrently and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Excel; able to manipulate, and analyze sizeable amounts of data

Associate Analyst
Position Overview
Associate Analyst
Cerulli Associates is looking to hire an Associate Analyst in its Singapore office to support the analytical needs of its Asia practice.
The role is centered around researching and analyzing asset management and distribution industries across Asian markets to identify trends in product and distribution landscape and produce industry-leading research and advice for the world’s largest asset managers and other service providers.
Responsibilities:
- Work with lead analysts to develop, code and follow up on surveys, monitor enrollment and prepare survey results.
- Collaborate with other analysts on monthly, quarterly and annual publications as well as consulting projects. Duties include data gathering, analysis, chart creation and assembly, and writing commentary.
- Build presentations for internal and external use.
- Help develop and maintain relationships with industry trade associations, third‐party data vendors, and government agencies.
- Source, analyze and interpret data gathered from third party and proprietary sources.
- Build and cultivate relationships with asset managers, distributors, and institutions to enhance the quality of research.
- Work with the firm’s marketing and business development personnel, including producing marketing collateral and press releases related to the report, attending client meetings and responding to press requests.
Requirements:
- 0‐2 years’ experience in financial services, preferably in a research or analytical role.
- Highly numerate, has an eye for detail, and able to multi-task
- Ability to work with large amounts of complex data, as well as translating that into cogently written analysis
- Understanding of the Asian mutual fund industry is a significant advantage
- A strong academic background
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Tableau and Qualtrics are a plus, but not required.
