Position Overview

Graphic Designer, Design Team

The Graphic Designer role is based onsite in the Boston Office. Reporting to Cerulli’s Senior Designer, this individual will execute design for both external and internal campaigns. The graphic designer will create digital and print collateral, including social media programs, webpage creation (no coding needed), email creation, event programs, and corporate collateral—PowerPoint presentations, white papers, and more. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Powerpoint design for client and prospect presentations utilizing data inputs provided by Cerulli’s analyst team

• Layout of content for white papers, key findings, and other marketing materials

• Regular website updates, including: Cerulli Reports, Edges, and knowledge center materials

• Creation of email templates that attract attention from key audiences

• Ownership of social media templates and materials that highlight reports, webinars, events, culture, and data programs

• Partner with marketing and sales teams to develop conceptual campaigns or content that drive awareness through digital channels (email, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience

• Bachelor of Arts in Design or Art

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)

• Demonstrated portfolio showing creative, design, and software skills

• Ability to evaluate choices critically, with the customers’ needs in mind

• Strong knowledge of print and digital layout, including white papers and sales collateral

• Event marketing including booth design, collateral, and virtual backdrops

• Digital design experience including email, social, and web

• Ability to research and develop concepts that represent key messages and storylines

• Capable of communicating design choices clearly

• Must be able to follow brand guidelines

• Ability to work with cross functionally with research, editorial, marketing, and sales teams

• Knowledge of .HTML preferred, but not a requirement

• Knowledge of financial services preferred, but not a requirement

• Familiarity of marketing automation tools such as Marketo or Pardot preferred

Senior Analyst

Wealth Management – Intermediary

Position Overview

Senior Analyst, Wealth Management – Intermediary

This senior analyst position works within the Wealth Management practice and reports to the associate director, wealth management. It is an onsite role in the Boston office.

We are seeking a candidate with experience related specifically to asset manager retail distribution through intermediaries in the broker/dealer and/or RIA channels. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of asset manager distribution strategy, including the opportunities and challenges organizations face when engaging with financial advisors and home office professional buyers.

The position offers significant industry exposure, including interactions with senior executives throughout the industry, coverage in industry publications, and potentially presenting at conferences and events.

Cerulli’s Wealth Management practice focuses on trends related to financial advisors and related intermediaries, including:

  • In-depth competitive analysis and qualitative coverage of the largest B/Ds and RIA custodians
  • Needs, challenges, risks, and opportunities facing financial advisors
  • Distribution strategies for retail asset management products sold through financial advisors
  • Strategy for wholesaling teams, including structure, compensation, and resource allocation
  • Competitive dynamics underlying marketshare shifts across wirehouse, RIA, independent B/D, and other advisor affiliation models

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support writing and research for the U.S. Intermediary Distribution Report with the goal of ultimately assuming lead author responsibilities
  • Author timely thought-leadership content for the quarterly Cerulli Edge U.S. Advisor Edition
  • Assist in building quantitative surveys and models, including survey design, data gathering, data analysis, and exhibit creation
  • Manage report projects and deadlines
  • Support strategic consulting and custom research engagements that pertain to the practice
  • Provide client-support, including conference calls and live meetings, related to the annual report
  • Assist account managers with client inquiries related to the practice’s research content
  • Conduct and support interviews with senior executives regarding emerging industry trends
  • Manage any necessary partnerships with industry trade associations, publications, and media

Qualifications:

  • 5 - 10 years of experience in financial services related to asset manager distribution, including experience in a sales or key account manager role
  • Deep understanding of retail distribution strategy, retail asset management products, and portfolio construction
  • Exposure to financial advisors and their investment decision making process
  • Superior writing and communication skills
  • Aptitude for synthesizing research, identifying trends, and providing commentary on relevant industry issues
  • Must be hardworking, persistent, and enthusiastic, with a passion for financial services industry research and analysis
  • Attention to detail and emphasis on accuracy
  • Capable of working successfully on a team as well as autonomously
  • Ability to successfully execute on multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Excel; able to manipulate, and analyze sizeable amounts of data; experience with SPSS or Alteryx is a plus
  • Ability to cultivate a network of industry contacts for research purposes
  • College degree; completion of, or progress toward, CIMA® or CFA® is a plus
