Position Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working individual to be our HR Coordinator. The person who fills this position will report to the Director of Human Resources & Administration. They will be the first person of contact for employees and interview candidates, so always operating in a professional manner is important.

Successful candidates for this position are self-motivated, extremely detail oriented and have a general enthusiasm for helping people with a smile 😊.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Help manage recruiting efforts, which includes posting positions, scheduling interviews, greeting candidates, and writing offer letters
  • Coordination of new hire orientations and onboarding process
  • Benefits administration; enrolling new hires and any other changes on ADP as well as on vendor sites
  • ADP global administration
  • Help with administration of performance management
  • Operate and manage the firm’s philanthropic group – Cerulli Cares
  • Assist in organizing all Company events; holiday party, summer party, monthly events, and others as needed
  • Coordinate meetings and catering for events as necessary
  • Coordination of in-house training efforts
  • Help drive employee engagement both in person and virtually
  • Work on our D.I.G. Deeper initiatives (DE&I group)
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining all office orders including office supplies, fruit delivery, snacks, coffee etc.
  • Coordinate with building management as needed for office issues (lights, electrical, heat/cool, etc.), other items as they arise
  • Manage all office vendors

Account Manager

Position Overview

Account Manager

The position’s primary role is to drive subscription-based and consulting business among prospects and support Cerulli’s existing client base with superior service and support. Based in Boston, the position reports directly to the Director, Account Management U.S.

Successful candidates for this position are independent, motivated, creative, and enthusiastic individuals interested in contributing to a global market research business by forging relationships with senior executives at the world’s largest asset managers and broker/dealers. The role requires a sense of entrepreneurialism, curiosity, innovation, and an underlying interest in asset management analysis.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Sales

  • Meet or exceed standards of outbound calls and meetings to current and prospective clients to promote our products and consulting capabilities
  • Prospect for business via other warm lead lists (subscription renewals, recipients of targeted marketing campaigns, client login requests, research sample requests)
  • Provide regular reporting to management on progress and successes
  • Identify custom research and consulting opportunities through content-led discussions (both with and without Cerulli research analysts), regular client meetings, conferences, and other events; work toward conversion of discussions into project proposals, and the close of custom and consulting agreements

Relationship Management & Client Service

  • Maintain and grow a book of business by providing regular, proactive support
  • Respond to client questions and inquiries related to Cerulli research, including intermediating access to Cerulli’s team of analysts
  • Turn client questions into relationship-building and business development opportunities
  • Increase existing client spend through careful analysis of clients’ businesses, decision makers, and Cerulli products and cross-selling additional products and services
  • Map out key champions at your accounts and establish relationships and drive research use amongst those champions
  • Present progress and raise related issues at daily business development meetings
  • Conduct regular face-to-face meetings, conference calls, and other touchpoints to foster relationships, support, and use of Cerulli research
  • Recognize and develop client research needs into custom research and consulting proposals
  • Provide regular client feedback related to Cerulli’s product and service offerings
Travel
  • Meet with clients and prospects by setting regular client rotations and schedules
  • Establish well-defined goals and follow-up strategies for revenue-generating outcomes
  • Attend relevant industry conferences
  • Expected travel: up to 25% (less frequent during Covid travel restrictions)
Research Content
  • Deliver the Cerulli Associates story, including research methodologies, product line, and service overview
  • Discuss general trends affecting the asset management product and distribution industry
  • Establish familiarity with the industry landscape (i.e., asset manager types and product offerings, broker/dealer landscape and product offerings, and related industries), and Cerulli’s competition in the research and consulting industry

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in the asset/wealth management industry, preferably in a role related to the distribution of asset management products (e.g., sales, product management, relationship management, market research, or business analysis).
  • Proven phone-based and in-person sales and client management skills
  • Superior communication skills
  • Positive, proactive attitude
  • Ability and eagerness to engage clients and prospects and think creatively to address client needs
  • Ability to interact with senior level executives
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and contact management systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus, but not required)

Associate Analyst

Product Development

Position Overview

Associate Analyst, Product Development

This analyst position is based in the Boston office, and it reports into the Director responsible for investment product development research. The position’s primary role is to support lead research analysts and collaborate with other members on the product development team to provide quantitative analytical support and written commentary for CA’s and publishing needs as well as to support consulting projects. The position will also work as needed with other practice members across various research teams such as institutional and wealth management.

Successful candidates for this position are hardworking, persistent, enthusiastic, and analytical individuals with a passion for financial services industry research and analysis.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist lead research analysts in the development and analysis of proprietary surveys, interfacing with Survey Analyst to administer surveys and chart results
  • Help develop focused research panels, calling and emailing targeted participants to increase survey participation
  • Collaborate with other analysts across Cerulli practices on monthly and quarterly publications
  • Duties include data‐gathering, analysis, chart creation and assembly, and writing commentary
  • Work with Morningstar Direct, Pitchbook as well as other third-party databases
  • Identify opportunities to improve Cerulli’s current data aggregation and analysis processes
  • Help develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions, investment asset managers, industry trade associations, and third‐party data vendors
  • Propose and develop new analyses to expand Cerulli’s proprietary research
  • Support consulting projects via project management and research tasks

Qualifications:

  • 0-3 years’ experience in financial services, preferably in a product strategy, product development, product management, research, or analytical role; Understanding of retail and/or institutional distribution channels is helpful
  • Knowledge of both mutual funds and exchange‐traded funds (ETF) vehicles. Preferred knowledge of other investment vehicles (e.g., collective investment trusts, private commingled funds, interval funds, etc.). Understanding of alternative investment asset classes is a strong plus
  • Understanding of active and passive investment philosophies and processes
  • Outstanding project and time management skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi‐task and to change course quickly as needed
  • Proficient in Excel; able to manipulate, and analyze sizeable amounts of data
  • Aptitude for synthesizing research, identifying trends, and providing commentary on relevant industry issues
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Interest in financial‐services‐related market research with an eye toward developing into a Cerulli Report writer

This senior analyst position works within the Wealth Management practice and reports to an Associate Director, Wealth Management. It is an onsite role in the Boston office.

We are seeking a candidate with experience related to middle- and front-office wealthtech solutions that enable wealth management firms and their advisors to improve operational efficiencies, productivity, scalability, and client outcomes. The role requires a deep and ongoing understanding of the marketplace to help our clients assess opportunities, navigate vendor selection, and implement change decisions. The role will build and maintain a network of wealthtech providers, decision-makers at wealth management organizations, and advisors, to support primary research needs. Candidates should have previous experience at a wealth tech vendor, technology consulting organization, wealth manager, or research firm.

The position is ideal for someone who is analytical, exhibits strong writing skills, works autonomously, is comfortable working on multiple project simultaneously, and seeks to build deep industry expertise.
