Institutional Asset Management

Position Overview

Associate Analyst, Institutional Asset Management

The position is based in the Boston office and focuses on research related to the institutional asset management industry. Areas of greatest focus include researching the opportunities and challenges facing institutional asset managers, investment consultants, and U.S. institutional investors (e.g., defined benefit plans, endowments, foundations, etc.).

The position is ideal for someone who is analytical and quantitatively oriented, exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills, works autonomously, is adaptable and comfortable multi-tasking, and seeks to build deep industry expertise. The position reports to an Associate Director on the Institutional team. We have a hybrid work environment that allows a mix of regular in-office attendance and remote work.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The Associate Analyst generates quantitative analytics and manages projects for research, publishing, and consulting needs. Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the development and analysis of proprietary surveys, interfacing with Survey Analysts to administer surveys and chart results
  • Help develop focused research panels, calling and emailing targeted participants to increase survey participation
  • Schedule research calls and meetings with senior executives, and capture detailed notes
  • Collaborate with other analysts in asset management practice on monthly and quarterly publications; Duties include data-gathering, analysis, chart creation and assembly, and writing commentary
  • Attend research calls with senior executives to build subject-matter expertise
  • Coordinate projects for the practices’ strategic consulting and custom research engagements
  • Participate in research efforts by identifying key topics of interest and providing ideas and input throughout the reporting cycle

Qualifications:

  • 0 - 3 years of experience in financial services, preferably in a product management, research, or analytical role; an understanding of institutional asset management is helpful
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills; general understanding of basic investing concepts
  • Superior quantitative acumen is a must; proficient in Excel (e.g., pivot tables and VLOOKUPS)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize and analyze large amounts of data with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, and manage projects
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills

Marketing Database Administrator

Position Overview

Marketing Database Administrator

We are looking for a systems-focused Marketing Platform expert, who has experienced the administration and management of multiple sales tools/applications, primarily focusing on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM. This position will be part of the IT Team focusing on the management of core business systems specific to our Marketing & Sales teams. The individual will be responsible for working with stakeholders to define the mechanisms needed to deliver revenue-generating results. This includes identifying processes, designing workflows, and configuring settings to help sales, marketing, and other departments cohesively deliver a consistent pipeline for strong Cerulli relationships and growth. The candidate must be detail-oriented and have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while implementing and educating a concentrated user base.

The position will work with multiple vendors to help support and drive application growth all the while continuously learning how to utilize new functionality that relates to business needs.

In addition to managing sales and marketing systems, this role will contribute to the overall management & daily operations of the Cerulli website for authentication and lead generation.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Product ownership and administration of existing sales tools in our business application stack (Zoominfo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Dynamics365 CRM, Intercom, Laravel CMS, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.)
  • Understands end-2-end functionality of the tools, configurations involved & how tools are used in sales and account management processes
  • Provide oversight to solve day-to-day support issues by providing guidance to 3rd party support admins and make sure there is no negative impact of the changes
  • Engage with Research, Marketing and Sales Operations leadership to evaluate and identify existing and new tools or functionality that would enable their teams to increase customer outreach and potential revenue as well as operational efficiencies
  • Perform quarterly product release review & recommendations
  • Drive improvement process by translating business requirements into technical requirements and collaborating with application vendors and development delivery teams to determine the best-case application design and configuration
  • Document functional and non-functional requirements, functional design documents, data flows and architecture diagrams, test plans and process documents.
  • Perform application training during any onboarding sessions or as an ongoing improvement occurs.
  • Responsible for data hygiene and avoiding duplicate or unnecessary records
  • Key focus on the integration between the multiple systems driving data to and from CRM, capturing leads and activity
  • Liase between business stakeholders & application vendors to facilitate vendor quarterly business reviews (QBR), vendor roadmap, various business metrics from vendors, user training needs
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and practices, new tools used in Sales processes. Learn functionality of new tools after onboarding
  • Hold application vendor accountable to provide expected ROI through vendor performance management
  • Manage new enhancements or features rollout available through regular upgrades for sales tools
  • Support change, control best practices, including the management of user requests/approvals and promoting changes to production
  • Understand the architecture of Dynamics CRM and the related customizations
  • Advise business users on best practices for CRM, development or integration processes
  • Manage, build and configure CRM forms, views, dashboards and workflows
  • Drive the use of Key Performance Indicators by implementing new dashboard and reporting use
  • Ensure consistent release management, change management and project approval processes
  • Support of the application, which includes fixing application issues

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience managing Dynamics365 CRM in a marketing environment
    • Intermediate level of proficiency in Dynamics 365 administrative tasks such as creating user profiles, roles, custom objects, custom fields, page layouts and workflow rules
  • 1+ years using Marketing Automation tools for creating automated processes and workflow within a marketing organization
  • 3 years in a marketing organization executing digital marketing campaigns and programs in a B2B environment
  • Understanding Data Management, especially in CRM
  • Ability to understand complex business problems and interpret business and technical requirements
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or similar products) a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work independently & consider cross-functional and downstream impacts with close attention to detail

Position Overview

Senior Data Engineer

The Senior Data Engineer will work collaboratively with all practice groups, U.S. and International, to design and maintain the data storage, transformation, and visualization needs of CA. Building upon skills and knowledge of Excel, Alteryx, SQL, and Tableau, this role will prepare data into structured formats, conceptualize data storage requirements, design dashboards to effectively present data, and manipulate data for practice analysts and report writing.

Project leadership opportunities will be present to manage third party data sources and internal analyst requirements. Product management aspects will increase as exposure to and familiarity with visualization strategy increases. This position also requires frequent interaction with the Editorial department for QA during the product lifecycle.
The position reports to our Director of IT.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Use Excel, Alteryx, SQL, and Tableau to prepare data into structured formats, conceptualize data storage requirements, design dashboards to effectively present data, and manipulate data for Research Analysts and report writing
  • Clean, filter, normalize, manipulate, perform calculations on, and estimate projections with data
  • Design and update Tableau dashboards for Lodestar and Interactive Report Dashboard subscriptions
  • Identify suitable report charts, along with Research Analysts and Editorial, for Interactive Report Dashboards, and test analysts’ hypotheses
  • Develop storage solutions for pre- and post-processed data
  • Reengineer existing Alteryx workflows for ETL processes and analytics
  • Develop and test new ETL/ELT solutions to enrich production workflows
  • Collaborate with IT and third-party consultants on data warehousing initiatives across research practices
  • Lead the data team on all data processes

Qualifications:
