Graphic Designer

Position Overview:

The Graphic Designer role reports to Cerulli’s Art Director and works closely with our marketing team. In this role you will concept and design internal and external marking campaigns, comprised of both digital and print materials. These campaigns are the strategic convergence of social media programs, webpage creation (no coding needed), email creation, event programs, and corporate collateral—PowerPoint presentations, white papers, and more. Job Schedule:

Hybrid – working at least 2 days per week in our Boston office, with the option to come in up to 5 days

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to develop campaigns that drive awareness through digital channels (email, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
  • Layout and design of content for white papers, key findings, and other widely distributed research materials (print and digital)
  • Website updates, including those for webinars, events, publications and general knowledge center materials. This includes ideating new pages on our site and how we present ourselves (coding knowledge a plus but not required)
  • Ownership of social media posts/templates that highlight reports, industry news, Cerulli events, and Cerulli culture.
  • PowerPoint design for client and prospect presentations utilizing data inputs provided by Cerulli’s analyst team

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience working in graphic design
  • Bachelor of Arts in Design or related field
  • Expertise in the latest graphics and business programs: Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) and Microsoft (Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Polished portfolio showing well thought out and executed design examples
  • Positive energy and enthusiasm for groundbreaking design and collaboration across teams
  • Ability to research and develop concepts that develop into effective messages and storylines
  • Multi-talented creative, passionate to meet the highest design standards
  • Tuned into current design trends, and able to turn them into insights that drive great design
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to justify your conceptional and directional design choices. Comfortable giving and receiving feedback
  • Strong collaboration and interdependence skills both within design and multi-functional partners. Experience collaborating across organizational boundaries is a plus
  • Outstanding project management skills, ability to handle complexity with confidence. Proven time management skills, ability to set priorities and be accountable from concept to final design delivery
  • Self-motivated and eager to take initiative, able to work independently while also engaging and communicating in a dynamic team and organization
  • Curious to grow, to take creative direction and respond positively to feedback
  • Knowledge of .HTML preferred, but not a requirement
  • Knowledge of financial services preferred, but not a requirement

Analyst, Wealth Management

Position Overview

Analyst, Wealth Management – WealthTech

Position Overview:

This analyst position works within the Wealth Management practice and reports to a Director, Wealth Management. It is a hybrid role in the Boston office. The primary function of this role will be to lead primary research efforts into wealth management technology as it is used within advisor practices and across various divisions of retail wealth management intermediaries including broker/dealers, bank trust companies, registered investment advisors (RIAs), and family offices. The role will also involve supporting other research products and services across the retail wealth management research group.

We are seeking a candidate with experience within either a financial advisor practice, at a wealth management intermediary such as a Broker/Dealer, RIA, or custodian, an organization serving or supporting financial advisors, a wealth management technology vendor, or a technology consulting organization. Responsibilities will include performing primary research, including research calls with technology vendors, financial advisors, wealth management home offices and other relevant industry professionals, building and fielding online surveys of financial advisors and other industry professionals, building and maintaining market models, authoring research reports analyzing the marketplace for wealth management technology, presenting research findings to clients and prospects, and performing technology vendor due diligence

The position is ideal for someone who relevant experience and who is analytical, exhibits strong writing skills, works autonomously, is comfortable working on multiple project simultaneously, and seeks to build deep industry expertise. Successful candidates for this position are hardworking, persistent, and enthusiastic individuals with a passion for financial services industry research and analysis.

Cerulli’s Wealth Management practice provides management consulting services and publishes research focusing on trends related to financial advisors and related intermediaries, including:

  • In-depth competitive analysis and qualitative coverage of the wealth management industry
  • Needs, challenges, risks, and opportunities facing financial advisors and firms that employ them
  • Distribution strategies for retail asset management products sold through financial advisors

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Supporting analyst for the annual State of U.S. Wealth Management Technology report
  • Assist in building and managing web surveys, including survey design, data gathering, data modeling and analysis, and exhibit creation
  • Recruit industry professionals to participate in research interviews including financial advisors, executives at Broker/Dealers, RIAs, and wealth management technology vendors, and participate in all research calls performed
  • Assisting in the development and ongoing management of analytical models
  • Support management consulting engagements across Cerulli’s Wealth Management practice
  • Contribute to annual reports published by Cerulli’s Wealth Management practice including Broker/Dealer marketplace, RIA Marketplace, Advisor Metrics, and Intermediary Distribution, among others, as needed.
  • Provide client-support, including conference calls and live presentations, related to Cerulli’s wealth management technology research
  • Manage any necessary partnerships with industry trade associations, publications, and media

The position offers significant industry exposure, including interactions with senior executives throughout the industry, coverage in industry publications, and potentially presenting at conferences and events.

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of experience in a capacity related to retail wealth management services or wealth management technology
  • Superior writing and communication skills
  • Aptitude for synthesizing research, identifying trends, and providing commentary on relevant industry issues
  • Attention to detail and emphasis on accuracy
  • Strong work ethic and a passion for the wealth management profession
  • Ability to successfully execute on multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Excel; able to manipulate, and analyze sizeable amounts of data
  • Experience with Alteryx is a plus
  • Ability to cultivate a network of industry contacts for research purposes
  • College degree; completion of, or progress toward, MBA, CIMA®, CFP®, or CFA® is a plus
